Identical examples are in the collections of the Power House Museum (PHM), Sydney Australia (dated 1920 - 29) and in the Smithsonian National Museum of American History (NMAH), Washington, DC (found in an artillery dump in Japan in Oct., 1945). Scale markings are in simple Kanji. There are no maker's marks. Translations are from NMAH, scale descriptions from PHM. This example is missing a brass framed glass cursor. |
