Info: Andreas Fassbender Collection
Two different versions are provided.
Andreas also provides the following information:
The scales have the following codings/meanings:
12,5cm / 1) 2) = 3) 4) 5) 6) = 7) | = cm 8) = 12,5 cm /
1) (Wire) cross section
2) Cable length
=
3) Current and Volts
4) (Wire) cross section
5) Copper costs(Mark)/k> 6) Copper costs(Pfennig)/kg
=
7) Cable length (10-10000)
|
=
cm
8) 1-1000
=
The upper division can be used to determine the voltage loss for a given current and a given cable length depending on the (commercially available) cross-section.
The lower division is used to determine the weight and cost of a bare copper cable for all copper prices.
Furthermore, the back of the slide with the lower scale can also be used for multiplication and division.
Please note that the cm scale on the back of the slide is only available on one of the two slide rules. Just like the cm scale in the well.
I do not yet have an explanation for the meaning of the multiline cursor.
If I had to make a guess, it would be the meaning:
L = length (Länge)
0.8 = ?
D = diameter (Durchmesser)
G = weight (Gewicht)
