Tide Calculator | | | | | | | |
Notes: "The Tidak Tide Height Calculator is designed to accurately show the height of the tide between known low and high tides. The changing tide height is modeled as a simple harmonic (sine wave), which is far more accurate than any straight-line approximation. The time between low and high tide can be adjusted between 4 and 8 hours, and the height of the tide between 0 and 50 feet. The Tidak was patented in the US in 1952 (US Pat. 2,622,800). Just to be clear, this is not a complete tidal analyzer à la Lord Kelvin's mechanical tide predictor. The Tidak accurately shows the height of the tide over the duration of a single low-to-high or high-to-low tide cycle. You will need a tide table for your local area to go along with it."
