The company Barbotheu was founded by Georges Barbotheu (1857-1925) in 1885. This French precision instruments maker was established in Paris. Two addresses are known: rue Saint Gilles and rue Béranger. They had a factory rue de la Jarry in Vincennes. They were active at least until 1938 (listed in a direcory of French companies).
Some of the slide rules bearing this brand might have been actually produced by Tavernier-Gravet.
