Notes: "Faber Castell made slide rules with Addiator brand slide adders on the back when they were still making slide rules out of wood! These are quite nice as the Addiator is inset into the wood and flush with the back of the slide rule. This is possible because the wood is thicker than usual (it’s quite a chunky slide rule) and also allows storing the stylus in a hole in one end of the slide rule, while the clearing lever for the Addiator is on the other end. The 1/87 is a Reitz slide rule, which is the improved Mannheim design invented by Max Reitz of Dennert & Pape. Reitz pattern slide rules were very popular in Europe."
