By that time Lietz made nothing themselves and imported most of their engineering and drafting instruments from Japan, especially from Sokkisha. This is one of those Sokkisha planimeters, and features a zero-setting push button. After 1990, the name was changed again to Sokkia, who still sell planimeters, but electronic ones."
