Notes: "This is a German-made planimeter in the style of the Amsler Type 2. It appears to have been owned by the US Forest Service, and what may be an inventory number, 14663, is lightly engraved into the top surface of the tracing arm. 4954, the serial number, is deeply stamped into the bottom of the pole arm. "
